Tamata

Tamata comes with her experienced Thai engineer and Captain Tom (the new owner), who are both passionate chefs. Tom is also a dive guide (they have full dive equipment on board) and a rock climbing instructor (again all equipment on board).

Tamata is a new Beneteau Cyclades 50.4 2008 with four cabins, four bathrooms and a sailor cabin. It is fully equiped for tropical sailing: large fixed bimini, sprayhood, fans in every cabins, solar panels and a dinghy davit.

The interior is huge and beautifully crafted in every respect. This boat has everything with large double cabins, fans, LCD screens, double fridges, lovely galley and extravagant storage for food and beverages. This yacht is the perfect platform for a group of up to 8 guests exploring beautiful Thai islands off Phuket and Phang Nga province.

Equipment includes tender, stack pack, roller furling and the latest chart plotter. The motor is a Yanmar 110hp. Tamata has tanks for 1000 litres of water and 450 litres of diesel. On board are Raymarine ST60 intruments, a Raymarine C80 chartplotter, extra 140AH batteries and large refrigeration space. The bathing platform is ideal for a quick dip in the ocean.

Destinations

Phuket

To the east and northwest of Phuket are some of the most stunning sailing places to be found anywhere. The west coast of Phuket offers some of the clearest waters and most beautiful beaches in the region. From November to April these anchorage offer perfect shelter in depths of  4-12 metres on a sandy bottom.

Phang Nga Bay

Between Phang Nga Bay and Krabi there are over 100 islands, spectacular limestone cliffs towering out of the sea, calm water, pristine nature, fantastic kayaking trough caves and inland lakes; local fisherman selling freshly caught seafood. Images of Phang Nga have travelled the world and shaped many people’s perception of Southern Thailand.

Krabi and Koh Dam

White sandy beaches, secluded anchorages, snorkeling; a world reknowned rock climber’s destination.

Koh Phi Phi

The Phi Phi Islands are about 18 miles south of Krabi. Phi Phi has everything! Awe-inspiring scenery, great diving, clear waters, secluded bays, white sandy beaches, jungle trails and fantastic game-fishing. Combine this with great shopping, nice restaurants, bars and live entertainment, then you have it all.

Koh Lanta

Koh Lanta has 27 km of protected coastline offering an extensive choice of stunning and secluded anchorages. White powder-sand beaches, clear water, waterfall, elephant trekking and kayaking and more.

Koh Rok Nok

Up anchor and sail to the outlying Marine National Park, Koh Rok Nok islands, totally inhabited and a great snorkeling location.

Taratao and the Butang Islands

The best kept secret of the south. Explore the inhabited islands of the Butangs and their unspoilt and pristine dive and snorkeling locations. Lush jungles, white sandy beaches, sea gypsies and rare aquatic life.

The Similan Islands and Surin Islands

All the islands north of Phuket and south of the Burmese border. The two main islands group are the Similan Islands, 50 miles northwest of Patong and the Surin Islands, a further 50 miles north. Laying in the azure waters of the Andaman Sea is this unique and unsurpassed diving location, listed in the top 10 diving sites in the world. Water clarity here is legendary, and the coral reefs are considered the most colourful and diverse in Thailand.
