ABOUT 'SWITCHBLADE'
Switchblade is a full on racer ideal for charter for Kings Cup Regatta in Phuket Thailand. She was designed by Bruce Farr (designer of Volvo Ocean Race and America's cup winners) and built by Cookson in New Zealand. Switchblade won Phang Nga Bay Regatta and has placed 2nd twice in the King's Cup regatta in IRC 1. Her sistership Wild Rose finished second in 2011 Sydney-Hobart Race. She ways just over 6 tons and is blisteringly fast in light wind.
Switchblade has a full sail inventory (new mainsail, 4 headsails, 4 spinakers) and full B&G instrumentation. This year she was re-rigged annd rewired as well as upgraded in terms of new electronics (Raymarine touch display chart plotter). She needs a crew of between 10 and 14 persons to sail competitively.
